So here we go into 2011 in search of hot new hits and eagerly anticipating new albums from Bitty Mclean and Etana plus the return of Junior Gong and Nas to London for a big concert at Wembley on March 31st, which I will be playing at. Junior has a hot tune on the street –‘Just Ain’t The Same’ – and a wicked combination with his brother Stephen entitled ‘Jah Army’.
The debut album from new artist Protege is well worth investigating; a most promising arrival on the scene down in Jamaica.
Drum and Bass /Rock A Shacka Records in Japan have come out with an excellent Caribou foundation compilation cd featuring some of the earliest recordings ever made in Jamaica; essential listening for all collectors.
