Some powerful and uplifting music has been rising out of Jamaica in the past 12 months, most notably the debut album from Jah 9, excellent roots productions by Rory from Stone Love with ‘Ganja Tea’ from Keida and ‘Karma’ from Nadine Sutherland and ‘Journey’ by Indrani.

My new radio show on BBC 1Xtra has been a real joy to present and the love we have had back on social media has been wonderful, thank you for sharing the message of love and dub on Sunday evenings between 7 and 9pm….I can’t believe that I have already been on air for 3 months.

I begin a 3rd series of reggae shows on Monday May 20th on BBC Radio 2 at 11pm running for 13 consecutive weeks so do join me and I will ease you into a relaxing mode with some vintage classics that we all know and love and a sprinkling of fresh new vibes both from Jamaica and the UK.
